Déséquilibres

After seventeen years as Director of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Franche-Comté at Belfort, Odile Duboc and her team "Contrejour" are moving onto other adventures. To culminate this stint, Odile Duboc has imagined "Stones and reveries", a choreogrpahic dream for 300 amateur dancers and 20 professionals, in four different places.

This is a project that will evolve throughout a year, and we intend to pursue the various mazes of this construction until the actual creation in September 2007. We intend to do this by making a portrait of the choreographer and by filming the words and gestures of the various participants. It will be a dynamic portrait, where, for once, the language of dance will not be carried by a choreographer, but will be seen from the other side of the stage. It will be a portrait of that which is poetic in daily life: from the artist to the amateur; who needs who more?
