Nantes in the spotlight

All musical genres are represented in the city of Nantes; they are all alive and kicking in this city. It is a city in which one wouldn’t hesitate to invest resources to promote artists. Helping artists is a core objective.

Late 2006, the new audiotorium Zenith opens its doors in Nantes. Singer and Municipal Counsellor Jean-Louis Jossic encouraged Olympic and other halls in the city to come together and propose an evening showcasing only artists from Nantes. More than 100 musicians were represented to cover 5-6 genres of music . On December 2nd 2006, with a five euro entry, more than 7500 spectators rushed to the spot to discover local musicians and singers. A raging success.

Riding on that success wave, the Olympic decided to renew the experience in 2008. Nantes au Zenith, "deuxième édition" was the event code. The local music scene was still spouting quality talent and the venues were more efficient than ever. The idea of associating the Zenith with local talent and the musical context in the city is going stronger than ever.
