Chris Conty, a Franco-Belgian singer, traversed the French pop scene like a shooting star. His career (his chimerical success that lasted from 1974 to 1976, and then his comeback in 1980) has profoundly influenced several modern day French singers. Unconscious innovator, a visionary who wasn’t aware of his prowess, exploited too often by his companions, he changed the music scene of the end of the 20th century and left for posterity, troubling works.
