Musical documentary - Jazz
In April 2004, the Europa Jazz Festival celebrated its 25 years of existence. On this occasion, for about a month, Louis Sclavis gave 25 concerts, one after another, with the big names of French and European jazz. Bernard Lubat, Henri Texier, Michel Portal, François Corneloup, Médéric Collignon, Vincent Courtois – among others – followed one another by his sides in small halls of the unfrequented countryside, or in churches. They shared moments of real musical pleasure with the people who’d gathered there. This film tells the tale of the “rural tour” that soon became the “monumental” tour by the number of concerts given. The film was shot like a journey album, close to the artist and his road companions.
This is the portrait of a generous and accessible musician, in action.
